East Africa with effect from this year is likely to have an exodus of new presidents with the curtain raisers being Kenya. However in a bid to look for the Chief Executives of these countries, the Prime Ministers have paraded themselves as the most suitable candidates.
In the history of East Africa especially Uganda Kenya and Tanzania, the first Prime Ministers of these countries went ahead to become presidents. In Uganda Dr Milton Obote became president of Uganda, Mwalimu Julius Nyerere became president of Tanzania and Mzee Jommo Kenyatta became president of Kenya.

Our good parliamentarians despite their political differences can disagree on anything else but money. The cat has already been let out of the bag that they have and are to receive Ushs 103 million each for purchasing new cars.
Some opposition members of parliament like Odonga Otto are on record as saying that they are ready to cause commotion if they are not given their share of the Ushs 103m for cars in time. This followed revelations that some MPs had already received the money on their accounts.
