Can you imagine our crazy love for money bars us from realizing that paper money is dirty. When we tell you not to put your money where your mouth is, we don’t have that right. The owner of the money reserves the right to spend their money. We only caution you on hygiene.
Money is just about the only thing that people will pick up with their bare hands, no matter its condition or the environment in which it is found. Imagine seeing a note of ten thousand or more on the floor in a rest stop bathroom. It has been visibly stepped all over, torn, and is now a lovely shade of brown. Chances are that it won’t even last 15 more minutes on the floor, no matter how unappealing it may look.
In the first comprehensive study of the DNA on dollar bills, researchers at New York University’s Dirty Money Project found that currency is a medium of exchange for hundreds of different kinds of bacteria as bank notes pass from hand to hand.
If money has germs that may be harmful to human beings then we need to sterilize the money. In the mid-1990s in Japan, a company called Hitachi introduced an ATM that would sterilize bank notes. This was done by heating them to 392 degrees. Although a novel idea, the notes are re-contaminated as soon as they are touched by human hands. Bacteria feed on the oils residue we leave after touching something.
Now that the sterilizing ATM has not been a good solution you can turn to plan B. Bring all your money to me for help. I will sterilize it and return it on a date favorable to me. But the major problem starts from the people who carelessly handle money. People keep money in under wears, in tress, toilets and many other dubious places.
They say money is the best deodorant. This is because you don’t have to tell people that you have it. They can see it and smell it even before you show it. Whenever I look through the Forbes list of the richest people in world and I don’t see my name there I go to work. It’s my daily motivation. Everyone loves money. One special quality of money is that the colour of money doesn’t clash with the colour of the outfit you are wearing.
