Badi Music Unveil a New Music Star

New singing talent breaks on to the music industry stage. She is Margie Mpiima, her preferred name for the stage.

She is a new performing and recording artiste signed under Badi Music. The Badi Music label is under the management of Lukyamuzi Bashir, who has proved to give a good foundation to new up-coming artistes. The big music icons, who have passed through his recording hands include the likes of Ykee Benda and Apass.

Mpiima, drew her music inspiration from Nigerian music diva, Tiwa Savage, but she is determined to bring something new to the industry. She has so far released a mega hit titled, “International Lover”. It was produced by Badi’s main producer, Mimo. The song is now popular on the social media.

“I started music professionally in 2015. By then i was signed under Riddim Records. Before that, I used to sing in church and school choirs. It is what motivated me to carry on my carrier in music,” Mpiima said.

She went to school at Hormisdallen Primary School, Bweyogerere; went to her secondary school studies in Wanyange Girls in Jinja and Nile College in Kasangati before joining St. Lawrence University, where she graduated with a Bachelors’ degree in Development Studies. Speaking to The Sunrise newspaper, Mpiima, however, said that she is not willing to do anything with it.

She believes that people will love her music because of its unique touch and nicety that it has; and she believe that in due time, she will be having a big fan base.

She hopes to do a collabo with Uganda’s singing birds like; Irene Ntale and Grey Naava, because of their good music and international reach. She wants to do a collabo with Nigerian-based musician, Kiss Daniel.

Apart from Mpiima, the Salaama Road, Makindye-based Badi Music studio, has signed another musician, Carl Fame.  Both Mpiima and Fame are under their management of producers; Mimo and Darly.
