There are always two sides of the story; the one you would like to listen to and the other you don't want to hear.

Those ready to narrate the side of the story you like would receive the audience and they are good narrators.

I apologize if this story is one of those you would not like to read but deep down in me I know there are good and responsible people out there who need this piece to guide their children.

I recently happened to have a glimpse of a letter from a teacher who also found it is a girl's book as he was marking.

The S.2 girl had received this letter from a S.3 boy in the same school.  The letter read:
Precious Linda,

I write this letter to remind you that I love you so much. I cannot do anything but only to think about you.

The only days I think about you are those days that end with letter Y.

Honey, school time is boring because these teachers cannot even allow boys and girls to interact.

You can't imagine Mr. Kimbowa wanted to suspend me from school when he called me to the staff after finding the two of us near the Sickbay during Saturday entertainment.

But don't worry because we shall meet and have fun when we go for holidays.  I will do anything to make you happy sweet heart.

With love from 'Sweet Angero'

In case this letter was written by your son or sent to your daughter you have the reason to get worried. 'Sweet Angero' seems to be the boy's password name or nickname.

It is not our duty to judge whether or not he is sweet. May be Linda herself knows better.

She may even have baptized him with those names after watching the famous TV soap - The Promise (Inna) that was showing on Bukedde TV.

Sweet Angero tells Linda, 'I cannot do anything but only to think about you'. If you sent your son to study he is now pre-occupied with emotional duties.

This means that he cannot concentrate in class and he cannot even read his books because he is thinking of Linda.

You must definitely expect a poor performance on his end of term academic report as he returns home.

He further puts it clearly that the only days he thinks about Linda are those days that end with letter Y.

Now it should come to your notice that all the seven days in a week that end with letter Y your son is busy thinking of a certain girl.

You only need to pray that a week is extended to at least 10 days with the extra three not ending with letter Y in order to have your son have some days for books. The seven are already booked.

Angero is not happy with the strictness at school regarding boy-girl interactions. It's unfortunate that he thought school time was a picnic or a fiesta.

He is bored and not interested in being in school. Such a boy can easily drop out of school because he cannot find happiness there.

But he is very optimistic that holiday is coming and they will be free to have fun with Linda.

He has not described the kind of fun they will have but we have to get worried because these are adolescents on their adventurous journeys who always look no further than sex.

Parents now have to be careful as they monitor their children's movements during the holidays.

The letter writer assures his girl friend that he will do anything to make her happy.

This literally means that he will be a pillar to support this girl even in financial matters.

Your son can hardly keep his pocket money for two weeks since he uses it to make Linda happy.

No wonder he always calls home asking for more money from you to enable him exercise his romantic talents.

Unfortunately, in the entire letter I have not seen Angero telling Linda to read hard; he has no ink to waste where he has no interest. You are specific boy!
