QC Binaisa's death gives me a reason to die

Share
It is obvious that if I were to die today not many of you would pay any attention to my fate like you did to QC Binaisa's fate.

However I am not writing this to complain or to bargain with you to turn up in multitudes on that day when my soul is being officially sent off this planet to join our colleagues on the opposite side of life.

On the contrary I do not give a damn whether only one person turns up that day to give me a final push to the world of the dead or masses turn up.

You could even decide to throw my useless body to the rubbish pit such that it can rot off there.

I swear my ghost will not grumble just because you people feel there is no reason as to why my dead life then should get any attention from you.

Nevertheless I doubt whether that can ever happen on this planet because it just seems like the importance of some people is only realised after they have died.
By the way I am not insinuating that masses as big as those that turned up at the burial of the former president will turn up to say good bye to a dead fool and buffoon likemyself.

Then but at least I know there are those who are just waiting for that day when I die to say something good about me.

I know them and it is not only  my enemies that are waiting for this time but my friends as well.

I realised this recently when former president QC Binaisa received a burial that was thronged by people from all walks of life plus his name getting all over the media pages.

Interestingly before this, we had almost forgotten about Binaisa. Some of us were even almost forgetting that Binaisa had ever at one time ruled this nation not until we were reminded that day that indeed he had.

So it is obvious people just said more positive things about the former president after his death than they had done when he was alive.

It could be that some people were waiting for his death before they could say a single positive thing about Binaisa.

Besides some must have been waiting for his death before they could honor the gentleman that died at 90 years otherwise why did many of us honor him more after his death than we had done in his life on earth.

Now that Binaisa has gone and I am still around I feel like I should also follow him to that other world because I too need to be honored.

I too need to be respected, to be adored like Binaisa's corpse but I know that with my bones still alive and kicking nothing of that kind can happen.

I know many of you think me to be a fool or a buffoon who barely knows what I want but I swear you would never think the same way if you are told I have been reduced to a piece of dead flesh today.

So with Binaisa gone and with the honor that followed him, there is no doubt that I too now have a reason to follow him.

I know, I will not be escorted with as much honor and respect to my grave like that that Binaisa got but at least I know I will be escorted with more honor to the grave than I get in my life.

And being the silly fool that I am I just cannot wait to die because at least now I have a reason to.

Whether I am or not scared of ending up in hell as result is matter  we  shall discuss another day. At  least not today.
