Nansana resident beaten to near death

A suspected homosexual was beaten to pulp for recruiting school children in the vice, which parents and the general community detest as one of the Western cultures being imposed in the country.

On September 4, angry Nansana residents in Wakiso district pounced on Abu-Baker Mulumba, accusing him of luring their children in homosexuality activities.

In the process, Mulumba was hit and left for dead. He sustained a fractured leg, ribs, wounds on his back and hands.

The Police arrived late the scene but time to save Mulumba’s life who was unconscious by rushing him to Old Kampala hospital, where he’s still in intensive care.

Police officers are on his bedside waiting for him to make a statement.

“It has come to our notice that Mulumba was engaging in homosexual activities so he has a lot to answer,” said a police officer who was found at the hospital.

Recently, Uganda’s parliament has started debating the bill on homosexuality, which has drawn outright resistance so far from some legislators suggesting death penalty to gay and lesbian offenders.
