Busoga’s veteran journalist and long-time presenter Brenda Gimbo has embarked on a mobilization campaign to raise 110m for a neurosurgery in India.

Gimbo who has since the end of last year been suffering with an illness says that last month Doctors at the national referral hospital in Mulago found out that she had a tumour on her brain in the zone where all sense neurons meet.

Gimbo a former employee of Kiira FM and Victoria FM (all in Jinja) where she served as both a news anchor and presenter is a single mother of four.

According to Stanley Bukenya, Gimbo’s brother, the doctors at Mulago hospital advised them to fly their patient to India before the end of this year because the tumor has attacked the most sensitive area.
