Authorities in Kampala is hunting down a woman understood to be Kiyega Bahia of Kabowa a Kampala suburb who reportedly got involved in LGBT activities with several others who include a one Nadia Kembabazi who is a student at Kampala International University in Kasanga- Kampala.
Close associates who seek anonymity revealed to this paper that a one Bahia who is also a freelance filmmaker has been on several times involved in gay activities and also was planning a documentary on a plight of gay Muslims in Kampala.
The news of her involvement comes following reports that she had earlier fled from her Family in Kabowa and seek safe haven in Kampala following reports that she had faced a series of frogging by family members that followed life threats.
The 26 year-old Bahia is understood to have appeared also on the controversial list of gay people in one of the local tabloids in Kampala.
A source also revealed to us that the 26 year-old was also involved in Arua fracas that saw popular musician cum politician Kyagulanyi Sentamu alias Bobi Wine arrested in the infamous people power stand off in a bye election in Northern Uganda. A source who seek anonymity told us that her woes might be closely connected to people power affiliation.

The woe of Bahia, whose whereabouts are unknown, comes on the heels of the Anti-Homosexuality Bill, 2009 that was passed by parliament of Uganda. Apparently there has been a cold war on Gay people in Uganda whose plight need to be addressed.
