Ruth Kijjambu appeals loss of juicy KCC job
She put on a plastic smile as she left the KCC Town Clerk's office, disguising the terrible hurt she felt in her heart.
But, we can now reveal that the amiable Ruth Kijjambu has turned to court to have the juicy job back.
Local Government Permanent Secretary, John Muhanguzi Kashaka swung the axe, sending Kijjambu packing.
The Ministry's Commissioner, Abbey Yiga Musajjalumbwa then took up the juicy posting.
To rub salt in the painful wound, Kashaka chopped Kijjambu's wings further, directing that she reverted to the rank of Principal Town Clerk and be deployed in any one of the five divisions, making up Kampala city.
Her nemesis, Mayor Alhaj Nasser Ntege Ssebaggala could not hide his joy at the fall of Kijjambu, saying she had worked against his endeavors to uplift the city from the doldrums.
But Kijjambu cannot give up the juicy job without a fight. She has moved to court to wrestle the job back, saying there was no good basis for denying her the said office.
She sues the Attorney General, for the actions of PS Kashaka, demanding that her orders be undone, she be reinstated and paid a hefty monetary compensation for the inconveniences she suffered.
The High Court has given the Attorney General 15 days to respond to Kijjambu's assertions. blog comments powered by Disqus
