Lwemiyaga MP, Theodore Ssekikubo's political future is facing uncertainty following the violence in Ssembabule which was marred by gun violence and bloodshed.
Following the violence, Ssekikubo was charged with possessing an illegal firearm, obstructing police as well as stealing a plastic basin and pens.
The Ssembabule violence happened as the NRM was electing members for its district committees. More incidents of violence were reported in many other parts of the country. Ssekikubo's patience ran out after his arch rival and Foreign Affairs Minister, Sam Kuteesa, allegedly kept most delegates away from being accessed by his rivals such as Ssekikubo.
