Rugby Cranes on 'Fly 540' wings

The hassle of looking for bucks to transport the rugby Cranes for international meets might well be over going by the new developments.

With the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Uganda Rugby Union (URU) and a plane charter company,  Fly 540, there will be some ease in transporting Uganda's 'A' team  in the East African region for rugby activities.

The Uganda Badminton Association (UBA) has vowed to change their age-old character  to be able to follow the International Badminton Association (IBA) standards in the  Picfare tournament slated to be played from June 11 to Saturday 12 at Nsambya Sharing hall.

According to Simon Mugabi, the national team coach, UBA has been using under 10, 13, 15, 17, 18 but this time they will apply the IBA standards of 19, 15 and 13. The tournament is closed to only schools players must carry their schools' valid identity cards to be allowed to take part in the competition.

Some people call it identifying talents in it's infancy but if that's the normal way to do it, I defy the order by identifying my Cricket talent at age 30.

Today, I hate spending time on other sports disciplines preferring to turning professional and causing pressure in opponents' camps at ICC.

The day I took to cricket, I discovered I am an all rounder. I am good, a competent player, capable of batting, bowling and a fielder as well.

 

Let the World Cup Begin

Beginning this evening, football fans are to wait no more for the action; nor will the participating teams prepare any more for the world Cup games. Now is the time for the teams, the coaches and their managers to either swim or sink.

The fans will be showing their love for the game by cheering their favoured teams for the show of talent and skill at ball handling.

This is time for the 33 football teams to prove their worth after the World Cup tournament kicks-off today at the Soccer City stadium, Johannesburg, South Africa.
