When he visits Kenya this weekend, it's a second leg fixture and a deciding one for Cranes. Cranes national head coach Bobby Roberts Williamson therefore must be aware of two things.

He must know that this is his last shot at this edition CHAN of the African tournament or it's one that gives his side a green light into the finals of this championship.

It's therefore a makeup or breakup tie for the national side against the neighbours and arch-rival Kenya, and coach Bobby is very aware of this.

Why M7 should fund sports

For some time, the Uganda government has exhibited itself undervaluing sports as a major tool in promoting unity, peace and prosperity among the population. And with this attitude, insufficient resources have been allocated to the sports Ministry.

Last Sunday, seated in the pavilion, I watched Mr. Museveni and UN secretary general, Ban Ki-Moon,  play football rubbing shoulders with war victims.

Various thoughts ran through my mind and my concern  was not that this game was a mileage for war victims but that it could have served a resounding purpose for Ugandan sports.

Super league in balance

This season, the Ugandan super league is a hot contest with the top three clubs in good command of chances to lift the title. But, as usual, this will depend on their showing in the  last games.

Bunamwaya and Express are tied at 62 points from 29 games -three points ahead of URA in the third place but with a game in hand.
