'Yes We Can' inspiration good for the AFCON Dream

Share

Saying 'YES or No' is just what you think. Saying YES is and will be dependant on how the Cranes will fare at their six encounters home and away against Kenya, Angola and Guinea-Bissau.  Again saying NO is still dependant on the local boys' performance.

It's, therefore, performances that will either allow or disallow the Cranes an Africa-Cup-finals ticket at this campaign, which starts tomorrow at Namboole.

Rotten tomatoes out of FUFA basket

ROTTEN TOMATOES! Patrick Ntege and his friend Godfrey Kwizera are such a liability to the game of football.
You are entitled to your opinion, whatsoever, but I will stick to my low opinion of them.

What then should we expect? Sort the bad fruits and bin them! That was exactly what the FUFA  disciplinary committee did over the weekend. Thanks God it was done!

Help develop talent; not to reward it, Mr. Museveni

Good and hard work though does not pay instantly, will always pay with time. We therefore must work to the best of our abilities.
And therefore we must identify, support and help talent grow and develop it at its infancy.

Uganda Football Cranes have been rewarded abundantly by the President Museveni Yoweri. But he is rewarding the team for the good results from the talent crops he didn't help develop.

Well, it's not any other reward but a big bus handed over to FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa at National Council of Sports headquarters in Lugogo Tuesday this week.
In my opinion, Museveni only associates with good performances. Yes, that should be the way to go but how about helping that talent at its infancy?

The Egyptian Job

The biggest question is, 'can Uganda overturn the 2-goal-deficit against the Egyptian Pharaohs and again qualify for the U-20 Africa Nations Championships? Yes or no could be the answer.
Two goals down could be the biggest job against Egypt. Yes it is a huge task but have faith that our boys could do it.

This afternoon the Hippos U-20 host their presumably age-mats from Egypt in Kampala on yet another job to weigh up on the football scales.
Well, a fortnight ago, the Hippos lost because of lack of self belief and giving their opponents too much respect. Maybe they could be excused because of being on away grounds but now it's at home. A 3-0 result therefore is the aim and this can be done.

Time should have been USL fact

FUFA has finally agreed that USL manages and runs the league under Uganda Super League limited (USL). Both parties are therefore not going to play a game of staking but it's rather one of the issues that were addressed during the Jinja declaration early this year, where the league and super league clubs must run professionally for the good of the game of football.

It's also good that there is no longer going to be any more complainants by clubs and their respective officials over Fufa and league business, because now, they (USL) take up the responsibility. So when the league and other league-related things are messed, they have themselves to blame.
