Super league in balance

This season, the Ugandan super league is a hot contest with the top three clubs in good command of chances to lift the title. But, as usual, this will depend on their showing in the  last games.

Bunamwaya and Express are tied at 62 points from 29 games -three points ahead of URA in the third place but with a game in hand.  

 

Road to South Africa: Expect little from African teams

As Africa hosts the next world cup, Africans themselves believe that for the first time their representatives of Algeria, Cameroon, Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa might perform better than in the previous tournament to qualify for the semi finals and possibly even participate in the final.

However, this might not be such a major factor as is the question of  how prepared are the teams? To date, the final squads have been named but some are not ready for the fight.

It has been a long wait from the motorsport fraternity to feature two lions competing in a double circuit, Kalanzi Hamid writes.

Since 2008, the two former national rally champions, Ponsiano Lwakataka and Ronald Sebuguzi, had never competed in the same meet until Sunday May 30 when they appeared at Festino cite in Mukono district.

 

Road to South Africa: Domenech fails to call Diarra replacement, while Spain drops

France national coach Raymond Domenech has opted not to go for a replacement of defensive midfielder Lassana Diarra in his squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup finals due in South Africa in June.

Domenech revealed to the French Football Federation (FFF) that he is confident that  the 23 players he has with him at a ski resort will perform well at the finals expected to run from 11 June to 11 July.
