Bunamwaya and Express are tied at 62 points from 29 games -three points ahead of URA in the third place but with a game in hand.
URA's performance in the CECAFA or Kagame cup was not that impressive. Not surprising because the club went through several problems this season including those of administration, coaching and the players themselves who contributed to the departure of Coach Moses Basena. These anomalies negatively affected URA in defending the title which they won last season.
Both Express and Bunamwaya have yet to show their ambition to win this season's league considering that the duo share certain characteristics. In the past, whenever one of them lost, the other would follow and vice versa.
Both clubs faced each other in the second round opening game which ended with a 2-all draw. This time around however, they have to face-off with URA, Vila and KCC in the last five games.
Their chances
Both clubs have the potential to lift the trophy; their differences are in the technical aspects like coaching, staff, players and administration.
Their main difference is howver in players. Bunamwaya is far better than Express; they have players like Ceaser Okhuti, Boban Zilintusa, Owen Kasule, Tony Odur, Habib Kavuma, Hamuza Muwonge among. The composition could drive the club to lift their maiden title.
Express on the other hand have the likes of veteran Hassan Mubiru, Daniel Serunkuma but the squad is dominated by inexperienced, though talented players.
The managers of the two teams are almost in the same category. After the problem of David Otti, Matia Lule came in as in-charge of the Reds Eagles. He has the experience and potential which can be compared to that of Ibrahim Golola of Bunamwaya. blog comments powered by Disqus
