Actor Bekolo banned in Cameroon

Cameroonian Controversial film Director Jean Pierre Bekolo last week attended the  Second Edition of Euro-African Film Festival in Kampala.

Banned in Cameroon, Pierre Bekolo’s film Le’ President a movie that questions the phenomenon on Africa’s perpetual governments was last week shown at Cineplex “The Hub” in Kampala

A noted African Film Director from Cameroon Jean Pierre Bekolo has gained attention in International Film scene with his controversial comic –political like movie “ Quartier Mozart” that un-masks the loose side of Cameroonian president Paul Biya

Bekolo is a film Maker who has taught cinema at prestigious American Universities like Duke University, University of North Carolina.He has worked on three Films since 1992 which managed to be represented on the National film centre in France

Pierre is decorated with several film awards such at several Festivals in Locarno, Montreal, Sundance, Ouagadougou, Jerusalem and Barcelona amongst others.
