NRM invites views to amend party constitution

The National Resistance Movement acting secretary general, which proposes a number of amendments to the current party constitution.

The report proposes that whoever wants to contest presidency on the party’s ticket will be required to pay Shs5m, whereas those contesting for MP seats on the [NRM] ticket will pay Shs3m.

District chairpersonship contestants will be required to pay Shs500,000 and Shs50,000 for local leaders.

The report also proposes that the positions of secretary general and party treasurer be made full time jobs.
