After Museveni’s nomination, Mbabazi secured his historic and first nomination for presidency.

After Namboole, Museveni addressed thousands of his supporters at Kololo ceremonial grounds where they feasted on food, drinks and lots of entertainment.

On the other hand, Mbabazi hosted his supporters at Nakivubo World War II memorial grounds.

According to EC officials, Mbabazi chose the chair as his symbol on the ballot paper.

Celebrations by both camps of both presidential hopefuls were however interrupted by a heavy afternoon downpour.
