Busoga Kingdom’s Premier (Katukiro) Joseph Muvawala has come under fire for allegedly trying to grab land and a property belonging to ailing Steel Rolling Mills based in Jinja municipality.

The contentious property is located on 11 acres of lad along Masese – Walukuba road which used to house the Busoga Kingdom (Gombolola Headquarters). Nasifu, further contends that Muvawala wrote to steel mills and asked them to vacate the premises on grounds that the respective agreements with the King were fake.

Speaking to The Sunrise recently, Nasifu accused the Katukiro of habouring selfish interests in the disputed land by trying to undermine his social standing.

In a letter allegedly written and signed by Muvawala to the Jinja district appointments committee dated February 20, 2017 and seen by The Sunrise, Muvawala contends that Isima Nasifu is a social misfit who should not serve on a public institution given his very propensity to sponsor and participate in criminal dealings quoting several charges which Nasifu disowns.

Recently, Steel Rollings Mills manager sued the Attorney General after soldiers attached to Busoga Kingdom allegedly assaulted him reportedly on orders of the Katukiro Muvawala.
