The civil society organisations under the umbrella Foundation for Human Rights Initiative have condemned the manner in which the members of parliament and Ugandans are being handled by the regime calling upon the Ugandan government to let the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament KyagulanyiSentamu alias Bobi wine to be freed for a better treatment compared to what he is getting from the military hospital .

While addressing the media at their offices in Kampala and replying the letter that was written by the president yesterday about the situation of the two members of parliament Hon. Zaake Francis and Hon Robert Kyagulanyi, the former ethics and intergrity minister Hon. Miria Matembe says that according to the statement made by the president telling Ugandans that Zaake escaped from a detention facility and police is looking for him clearly shows that the president is out of his mind.

” You should stop lying to Ugandans, enough is enough and we shall not wait for more rather than liberating our selves from this region, I personally talked to the wife of Hon. Kyagulanyi and Babie Itungo while shedding tears said that her husband was not in a good situation and the president comes to lie to Ugandans that Bobi Wine is ok, you should stop lying to Ugandans .” Matembe warned Museveni

Miria Matembe has also advised the president not to behave like a king Herrod of the Bible who was told that any baby boy born will be the next king and he decided to kill all the new born boys but still Jesus Christ was not killed meaning that still the King Bobi Wine will not die and he will come out no matter the situation, saying that Museven is no longer the “Ssabalwanyi” but rather the “Sabassi .

Isabella Akiteng from the FEMME FORT said that the government should come out and bring all the soldiers who tortured Ugandans in Arua to book and the country should have a dialogue to avoid any thing that could happen in future because today it may be Bobi Wine but tomorrow it will be some one else.

While giving a key note address, the former researcher at Makerere University Dr.Stellah Nyanzi, while shedding tears called upon Ugandans to start acting rather than hiding out and this should start with the mothers .

“We all have drivers, we all leave them in cars and go to do other things and you find some ones son shot dead, the driver to Bobi Wine had a mother, mothers and children suffer a lot during violences, I think enough is enough,we are going to liberate this country our selves from the dictators.” Stellah Nyanzi said

However the executive director of the Uganda National NGO Forum Richard Sewakilyanga says that all political leaders including the president him self should embrace the efforts by the peace loving Ugandans led by Inter Religious Council of Uganda ,the Elders forum and several civil society organizations to convene the National Dialogue for Uganda. He says the National Dialogue process will be an opportunity for all Ugandans to discuss the past and current differences and arrive at a National consensus on how to manage our future challenges and how to treat each other as citizens of one country .
