The National Resistance Movement has launched their 2019 -2021 Political roadmap in a move to prepare for the 2021 General elections
The roadmap that was launched by Hon. Sam Engola who represented the national chairman of the party H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at the party headquarters in Kampala
The Roadmap contains Mobilization of NRM members to participate in NIRA registration exercise at all levels, as it also calls upon the NRM caucus to expedite the enactment of enabling laws and creation of constituencies if necessary and carrying out political assessment across the country
The roadmap will also look at mobilizing members of the NRM fraternity to participate in the voters register update exercise, scrutinizing the mode of primary elections and launching of the NRM Manifesto, presentation and preparation of the NRM Presidential Candidate to the National Electoral Commission
The party Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba urged party members to mobilize people to ensure full participation in the political activities contained in the road map, unity and solidarity among members, solidarity, and encourage democratic participation in the electoral activities
Lumumba also praised NRM’s performance in the local council’s Elections attributing it to the confidence the people of Uganda have in the party.
Lumumba added that the political roadmap highlights the activities and programs to be undertaken in ensuring NRM’s Victory come 2021.
