The Chancellor of Kampala International University Professor John Ssebuwufu has urged graduates to think of starting their own jobs instead of looking for them because they will be disappointed.

Professor John Ssebuwufu made the plea while officiating at the 20th graduation ceremony of the Kasanga-based University.

Professor John Ssebuwufu said they have given all that is needed to the graduands to compete in the job market  including enough skills to start their own jobs.

“We have taught you how to fish, go out there and fish but don’t wait to be given, you should know that this is a competitive world where everyone is looking for what to do in order to earn a living,” Proffesor Ssebuwufu cautioned.

The Minister of Science and Technology Dr. Elioda Tumwesigye who was the chief guest applauded  Al-Hajji Dr.Hassan Basajjabalaba, KIU owner for the great work he has done in the development of the education sector in the country and all over East Africa .

He however cautioned students  to be mindful of their behavior as HIV/AIDs still exists and it kills.

He called upon graduands to be disciplined and follow all that they have learnt from the University as they do their jobs.

He also cautioned them against corruption.
