Uganda recently procured aircrafts in a bid to revive its national carrier, Uganda Airlines. Fraudsters have now come in.
The management of the Uganda National Airlines says different accounts have been created on social media platforms in the names of the carrier and fraudsters are already advertising jobs.
“Unscrupulous individuals are falsely advertising jobs online and inviting the public to apply through a false email address, firstname.lastname@example.org, reads a notice from the company.
The airlines management said they follow a formal recruitment process where jobs are advertised in the print media with details on the carrier’s official website (carreers.ugandaairlines.com)
“We urge the public to note the difference between the two accounts and addresses and we strongly advise peopele not to apply for jobs through websites or links of agents purporting to act for and or on behalf of Uganda National Airlines Company Limited,” the company said.
