African Queen crowned Best Exhibitor of Cosmetic Products

The Uganda International Trade Fair is a well-established multi-sector trade event that happens around Uganda’s Independence day celebrations. This year, the event was held from October 2 to 10, at the Uganda Manufacturers Association (UMA) show grounds in Lugogo.

The 27th Uganda International Trade Fair Expo show-cased some of the latest Machinery & Farming equipment, Home Furnishings & Textiles, Architecture & Designing, Real Estate Agents, and Household Services industries.

The 2019 expo was characterized with a number of new innovations with Special country pavilions, meet and greet opportunities with policy leaders, special media partnerships, and Career guidance for school going children, training sessions, Entertainment and raffle draws.

To promote creativity, UMA organized awards in different segments. African Queen Uganda’s Number One Distributor Ltd, took home the best Decorator in the Cosmetics Category.

This was thanks to their outstanding “Miadi and Amara” tent. They beat competitors Movit and Venus, Radiant, Desire.

African Queen spiced up the show by building a tent  atop of a pond. It is here that they worked on their clients.  People were so amazed by the view and designs that it was so hard for one not to stop and marvel.

In an interview with The Sunrise, Innocent Mugisha, an exhibitor from African Queen said different strategies were used to attract the attention of the show goers including promotional prices, giving special offers to clients  who were buying now and for future.

“This enabled the company to sell more because reduced prices on offer  cheap price and attracted customers to buy more Miadi products because they could save money, unlike when they have to buy from other  outlets.”

Mugisha said that the award will be another way of promoting the company in different ways; he added that it encourages their clients to consume more of their products and also boost the company’s sales.

Jane Birunji, one of the customers who were served by African Queen them for the extra service of working on her hair. She noted that the promotional event helped her save money for doing other things like making her save money for more saloon purchases.

African Queen has become the unrivaled champion in the East African market in as far as brand building, consumer demand creativity, operations management and commercial teams development is concerned.
