Bundibugyo Floods: Death toll hits 17

Killed; Uganda Red Cross workers retrived bodies of the dead.

Up to 17 bodies have been retrived from mud by Uganda Red Cross workers in Bundibugyo following torrential rainfall that battered both Rwenzori and Elgon mountain regions on Saturday December 7, 2019.

Uganda Red Cross says over 4000 peaple from over 1000 households have been displaced by the emergency situation.

The displaced persons have been gathered at Semliki Secondary School and Bubukwang Camp.

Uganda Red Cross workers ventured into uncertain territory to retrive the bodies
