
President Yoweri Museveni yeserday passed out 9,952 officers comprising the 25th Intake of Probationer Police Constables and the 3rd Intake of the Immigration Officers’ Course at Kabalye Training School, emphasizing discipline, integrity, and the use of modern technology in fighting crime.
Speaking during the passing-out ceremony, Museveni congratulated the graduates upon successfully completing their training and commended the Police leadership and instructors for producing a disciplined force ready to serve the country.
The President reminded the newly trained officers that discipline and integrity remain the foundation of effective public service. He urged them to reject corruption, maintain good health, and embrace modern crime-fighting tools such as forensic science, K9 units, and CCTV systems.
The President further highlighted the role of security in supporting Uganda's socio-economic transformation. He said a secure environment is critical for wealth creation and development, adding that security personnel have a responsibility to protect citizens and ensure that every Ugandan participates in the money economy.
He encouraged the graduates to serve Uganda with patriotism, professionalism, and dedication as they begin their careers in the Police Force and Immigration Department.
The passing-out ceremony marks another milestone in strengthening Uganda's security institutions through increased manpower and specialized training aimed at enhancing law enforcement and border management across the country.
