
Uganda Police have confirmed the arrest of a key suspect in the murder of Pamela Tumwebaze, the Director of Student Affairs at Uganda Christian University (UCU).

The suspect, identified as Taewaiko Dak Hussein, was arrested on 14th February 2026 at a hideout in Budaka District. Authorities said he was found in possession of personal items belonging to the deceased, which serve as critical evidence linking him to the crime.
