The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has announced that registration for the eighth edition of the FUFA Women’s Cup will open on December 1, 2026, inviting women’s football clubs and teams from across the country to participate in the 2026/27 competition.

According to an announcement published by FUFA on Wednesday, the registration exercise will run until December 31, 2026, with all 12 clubs competing in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super League required to participate in the national knockout competition.

Clubs competing in the FUFA Women Elite League (FWEL), regional leagues and non-league teams are also eligible to enter the tournament, giving teams from different levels of Ugandan women’s football an opportunity to compete for the national trophy.

Interested clubs and teams are required to submit duly completed entry forms to the FUFA Competitions Department at FUFA Stadium Kadiba or through the official email address, competitions@fufa.co.ug. Applications must be accompanied by proof of payment of the applicable registration fee.

FUFA has set the registration fee at UGX 100,000 for clubs competing in the Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women’s Super League and FUFA Women Elite League. Regional league clubs will pay UGX 50,000, while non-league clubs and teams will be required to pay UGX 150,000.

All registration payments must be deposited into FUFA’s account at Ecobank, Ndeeba Branch, under the account name Federation of Uganda Football Associations.

The football governing body has emphasised that only clubs and teams that complete all registration requirements by December 31, 2026, will qualify to participate in the eighth edition.

The FUFA Women’s Cup is one of the country's major competitions dedicated to women's football, bringing together teams from different competition levels in a national knockout format.

The 2026/27 edition follows the seventh edition held during the 2025/26 season, which featured clubs from the top-flight league, Women Elite League, regional competitions and non-league football. Amus College WFC entered that edition as the defending champions after winning the 2024 competition.

FUFA has not yet announced the dates for the 2026/27 competition draws or the release of fixtures. The Competitions Department is expected to communicate the details in due course, while the official competition regulations will be circulated separately.

The December registration window therefore gives eligible clubs and teams an opportunity to complete the necessary requirements ahead of the new campaign.
